Senior Digital Product Manager/Flexible Working/Great Opportunity IT Talent are working wit h a long standing Digital services client in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The organisation provide a number of critical digital services to the local authorities, councils and the general public. They are recruiting for a Product Manager take responsibility for Digital Teams products. They use their knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame problems and assist their customers to set priorities for the delivery team. The role will work with the development team to define, estimate, deliver and transition solutions through to support. This work will take the form of engaging with one or more senior stakeholders. You will be responsible for the delivery of value back to the business so will work with the development team at all stages from specification through User acceptance testing and sign off so as to ensure the value proposition is delivered upon. The interface between this role, the Developers and Digital Service Architect is key. Key Deliverables: To work with the Digital Services Architect to break down complex requirements Work with project and service stakeholders to define and shape the portfolio of work. Ensure that Digital development portfolio activities operate within the best policies and procedures. Balance objectives within sprints/Kaban Working with customers to keep them informed of development progress or BAU issues Identify and evaluate the risks associated with digital portfolio developments. Knowledge & Qualifications Qualifications Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject area Desirable - Scrum/Kanban/Agile practitioner qualification or equivalent Excellent understanding of the application of both SCRUM and Kanban Agile techniques A good level of understanding of Prince2 and how this links with both SCRUM and Kanban Sound knowledge of complex technical environments Knowledge of MS DevOps, Trello or Jira Systems for managing backlogs Your Experience Proven ability to work effectively with IT delivery teams, partners and suppliers. Experience of having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group Influencing and engaging with subcontracted 3rd Parties. Experience of agile sprint resource management Agile Scrum and Kanban 3 years + Experience of using SCRUM OR Kanban Agile techniques 1 Year + Experience of working with Prince2 alongside SCRUM and Kanban Significant practical experience in the delivery of Developments across a wide organisation or multiple partners. Skills & Abilities Agile working. You know about agile methodology and can apply an agile mindset to all aspects of your work. You can demonstrate an understanding of user-centered design, technology and data perspectives. life cycle perspective and the ability to understand the different phases of product delivery. Operational management, Problem ownership, Product ownership & Strategic ownership. This is not a role that requires technical mastery of all elements of Digital Development but does need familiarity with a Digital Development environment and the possibilities and opportunities digital can bring. The post holder will be knowledgeable and able to ask relevant and searching questions and will have high levels of accountability for delivery tasks - but will work with a team of developers who are responsible for delivery as a Agile team rather than individuals.
