Vmware Consultant SC Cleared 5 days a week on site in Manchester Our client, a well-established VMware Partner and professional services organisation, is seeking a VMware Consultant to join their clients. This role requires SC clearance and a commitment to working on-site five days a week. This role involves the end-to-end delivery of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) built on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and other modern platform technologies. Key Responsibilities: Design, install, and configure the base infrastructure platform within a single datacenter. Deploy a full VCF topology, including: Up to two VCF instances (logical separation). Up to six Workload Domains, tailored for application and service segregation. Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Director (vCD) to enable multi-tenancy and service abstraction. Implement full security hardening of the platform in line with best practices. Perform end-to-end validation of the deployed platform and document results in the validation workbook. Ensure all infrastructure is delivered as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), enabling portability, reusability, and cloud-agnostic design. Support hybrid cloud integration and edge compute considerations as part of the architecture. Enable shared services and template sharing between domains while maintaining logical isolation. Ensure support for federated identity, single sign-on, and zero-trust access models. Required Experience & Skills: Active SC Clearance (essential). Proven experience deploying VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), including Management and Workload Domains.
