We are partnered with a leading Financial Services client in the city, who are about to embark on a Cloud-First transformation programme. As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering fully automated and scalable solutions for a greenfield transformation programme. Key Responsibilities include: Design, engineer, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, including 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Copilots. Lead the design, engineering, and adoption of the latest Windows operating systems. Develop and maintain a secure, efficient, and user-friendly Modern Workplace environment. Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management. Configure and manage Azure Active Directory for Identity and Access management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful adoption and utilisation of Modern Workplace technologies. Provide deep technical guidance and support to end-users, helping them to effectively use Microsoft 365 tools. Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. Monitor and optimise Modern Workplace performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 and Intune features, best practices, and security. Build monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than outages. Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation. Improve operational processes (such as deployments and upgrades) to make them as deterministic as possible. Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack. Technical Qualifications: Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 services, including 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Copilots. Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems (to Kernel level and relevant subsystems). Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 environments. Strong understanding of Azure Active Directory and its integration with Microsoft 365. Experience with Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features and best practices, including data loss prevention (DLP) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Familiarity with PowerShell Scripting for Microsoft 365 and Intune automation. Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with ITIL, SRE and DevSecOps best practices Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Monitoring/instrumentation: implement metrics in Prometheus, Grafana, log management and related systems.
