We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a C++/Embedded Linux Software Engineer. The role is permanent position based in St. Gallen Canton & comes with some office flexibility. Your role: Contribute with your C++ & Linux know-how in a wide range of development & customer projects in industrial & automation environments. Carry out software development in an Embedded Linux systems environment. Integrate & adapt essential Linux components, including the integration of drivers, the installation of security patches & the implementation of cloud clients. Create customized Yocto Linux distributions that are tailored to specific hardware. Implement & perform automated & manual tests & contribute to the continuous expansion of the test infrastructure. Support smooth development process by expanding & maintaining a CI/CD pipeline. Work closely with project management & hardware development. Your Skills & Experience: At least 2 of professional experience in C++ & Embedded Linux Software Development, ideally including in combination with Yocto-Linux. Experienced within Highly Regulated Environments & Industries, preferably including within the Medical Technology sector. Ideally experienced in most of the following: Embedded Security, OSS, Common Frameworks (such as Qt, Flutter, etc), Electronics & common Communication Interfaces. Your Profile: Completed University Degree in the area Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar. Fluent in English (spoken & written), any German language skills are considered highly advantageous.

Electrical Hardware Engineer/PCB Designer | Contract | £50-£70 per hour | Inside IR35 | 12 Months | Chelmsford A well-established engineering organisation is seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer/PCB Designer at team lead level to join their growing space technology division. This role is ideal for someone already leading a small team or an experienced engineer ready to step up. You'll be working on advanced imaging systems, developing and testing electronics that power high-performance sensors. Your role: Analyse customer needs & develop hardware-related software as well as concepts, architectures, design & specifications for Embedded systems. Develop firmware for microcontrollers Measure low power currents & commission & test designs from prototype phase to release. Support approval processes through special routines in the firmware. Optimize internal processes, especially in the firmware area. Develop & maintain products & support customers. Working according to a QM system. Your Skills & Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in Firmware Development. Skilled in developing low-level firmware in C/C++. A strong knowledge of the methodology for firmware creation. A good understanding of current standards, technologies & cyber security Ideally experienced in the area of IoT. Your Profile: Completed University Degree in the area Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar. Dynamic, creative & innovative. Open, collaborative, upbeat & both customer & team-oriented. Fluent in English (spoken & written) & a good command of German (to at least B2 level).
