We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a C++/Embedded Linux Software Engineer. The role is permanent position based in St. Gallen Canton & comes with some office flexibility. Your role: Contribute with your C++ & Linux know-how in a wide range of development & customer projects in industrial & automation environments. Carry out software development in an Embedded Linux systems environment. Integrate & adapt essential Linux components, including the integration of drivers, the installation of security patches & the implementation of cloud clients. Create customized Yocto Linux distributions that are tailored to specific hardware. Implement & perform automated & manual tests & contribute to the continuous expansion of the test infrastructure. Support smooth development process by expanding & maintaining a CI/CD pipeline. Work closely with project management & hardware development. Your Skills & Experience: At least 2 of professional experience in C++ & Embedded Linux Software Development, ideally including in combination with Yocto-Linux. Experienced within Highly Regulated Environments & Industries, preferably including within the Medical Technology sector. Ideally experienced in most of the following: Embedded Security, OSS, Common Frameworks (such as Qt, Flutter, etc), Electronics & common Communication Interfaces. Your Profile: Completed University Degree in the area Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar. Fluent in English (spoken & written), any German language skills are considered highly advantageous.
