Good IT skills eg Microsoft Office Understanding of British and International standards relating to metrology. Familiar with use of route cards, control plans and production of components to drawing. Experience & Qualifications Mandatory Apprenticeship or experience in an Engineering related discipline; Mechanical, software, electronics, etc. A good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Experienced in the manufacture to high precision tolerances (micron). Data collection to qualify products/components as part of a quality system. Desirable HNC or other Engineering qualification Experience of working in a proto-type small batch environment. GibbsCAM CAD/CAM software or similar PC-based computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
