Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Engineer to join a team within the Combat Air sector for a 12-month contract. The role involves working as part of a modelling and simulation team, supporting the development of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for platforms such as Tempest and Typhoon. Due to the nature of the work, this role requires 80-100% (4 days per week) on-site presence in Luton.
This position will provide exposure to advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) products and opportunities to collaborate with subject-matter experts across multiple domains, products, and technology fields.
Key Responsibilities
Baselined updates and releases of models within CAMEO, including source control, design documentation, and user guides.
Development of systems engineering plans, analysis, and trade study reports, contributing to system performance assessments.
Maintain and update Hazard Logs, Security Risk Mitigation records, and Technical Risk Lists within the model.
Manage and generate documentation from the module, including Architecture Description Documents, Interface Control Documents, and Requirement Traceability Reports.
Propose high-level architecture roadmaps and methodologies for development in line with programme deliverables.
Review proposed architecture models and provide technical input.
Offer expertise on system security requirements, architecture, and design considerations.
Develop candidate security architectures in response to specified security requirements.
Support Secure by Design processes through threat assessments, risk management, and security control development.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven expertise in Simulation and Modelling using Matlab and SysML/CAMEO.
Strong knowledge of system architecture development.
Understanding of security aspects including Information Warfare, Networks, Cryptography, and System Vulnerabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute to technical discussions and exchanges.
Experience in Product Data Management using Teamcenter, SharePoint, or Confluence.
Self-motivated, problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive complex issues to resolution.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to obtain SC Clearance for UK-caveated programmes.
