A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed by iO Associates to work with a leading global design, engineering, and project management consulting company. They are employed in the infrastructure sector. Through the use of data-rich, virtual, interactive, and collaborative technologies, they help clients make more informed decisions for difficult jobs.

Our organisation is looking for a versatile individual who can lead and deliver a wide range of projects, from major, high-profile programs to specialised consulting, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

You bring proven knowledge and experience in:

• A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or its equivalent, and experience in the field.
• Having a charter with an appropriate engineering school, or working towards one.
• Originality and expertise throughout the design process, including requirements gathering, idea creation, development, and downselection.
• Experience adhering to industry standards and design rules suitable for a safety-critical sector.
• Previous experience in a safety-critical industry, such as nuclear.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in developing the best design solutions to meet the needs of the customer.
• Create supporting calculations and arguments to show how well the design performs in comparison to the specifications.
• Write technical papers and keep them up to date.
• Oversee the completion of your projects in accordance with the budget, schedule, and quality standards.
