IT Support Analyst - Apps/Database/SQL; Glasgow, G40; £36-40k + bonus, pension, hols etc

An enthusiastic IT Support Engineer/Analyst with a background supporting application/software and databases (including use of SQL) is sought to join this established & successful Glasgow organisation who, are currently going through a major application upgrade & digital transformation.

The IT Support Analyst will play a key role in the support, maintenance & ongoing enhancement of business critical, database applications as well as leading & mentoring colleagues too.

They should be keen to utilise their own ideas to add additional functionality & further improve performance of the key applications.

You will probably be an existing Support Technician or Support Analyst with a good knowledge of databases (eg SQL Server or Access) and will have proven trouble-shooting & problem-solving skills.

You will also have proven experience writing database queries (eg SQL or Excel queries) for data analysis purposes and have some exposure to database reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar, to build/create & maintain dashboards etc.

Any exposure to applications including direct debits, BACS, memberships etc is advantageous.

A strong communicator, you will liaise with colleagues from across the business including users to understand the needs (present & future) of the team & business and help to deliver these successfully.

You will also take the lead in the small technical team, supporting & mentoring others and helping further their technical skills too.

Salary dependent on experience but likely to be £36,000 to 40,000 + good bonus, pension, holiday, flexible working hours & a great work/life balance.
