Ab Initio Development Engineer - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

Hamilton Barnes are currently representing a market-leading insurance firm who are recruiting for a Ab Initio Development Engineer on an initial 6 month contract with the view to extension.

The role offers a competitive daily and the client offers hybrid working based in Redhill.

The client requires, weekend and out of hours work when need

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, and implement ETL workflows using Ab Initio to process and transform large volumes of data efficiently.
• Optimise ETL processes for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure seamless data flow between systems.
• Continuously develop expertise across the full range of Ab Initio products and functionalities.
• Act as a mentor to junior engineers.

What you will ideally bring:

• Strong experience in Ab Initio tools, including GDE, Data Profiler, >ExpressIT, >ConductIT, Meta Data Hub, EME, and >QueryIT.
• Ability to produce accurate and high-quality solution designs, estimates, and technical documentation.
• Strong expertise in database technologies such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, IMS, SAS, and MS Access.
• Hands-on expertise in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting ETL workflows using Ab Initio.
• Ability to optimise ETL performance, debug complex workflows, and troubleshoot system issues.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Redhill (2-3 Days Per Week)/Remote
• Daily Rate: Up to £475 Per Day (Inside IR35)
