About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled, Dutch speaking, Freelance Data Modeller to join our multidisciplinary team on a 6-month initial contract. Your primary responsibility will be to structure and model data in a logical way to support certified data requests and reporting. You will also play a key role in visualizing data to enhance Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting capabilities.

You will work closely with stakeholders across different levels, gathering system and business requirements, analysing them, and translating them into logical and physical structures within a complex Data Warehouse (DWH) and BI environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structure and model data logically to support certified data requests and reporting needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues across the organization and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure data definitions are clear, consistent, and aligned with data management standards.
• Adhere to relevant laws and regulations related to data provisioning and integrate them into existing workflows.
• Develop test cases, create mock-up data, and work with business teams to ensure effective unit testing.
• Potentially take on a leadership or coaching role within the team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working with Data Warehouses.
• Expertise in Data Warehouse architecture and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in data modelling (logical and physical).
• Experience with regulatory reporting (eg, FinRep, CoRep) is a plus.
• Familiarity with OneSumX or similar reporting solutions is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with PowerDesigner and PowerCenter.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience in information management and business processes within a financial services environment.
• Specialization in at least one banking domain (eg, Finance, Mortgages).
• Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum and DevOps.
• Experience in information analysis and strong analytical thinking.
• Background in testing processes.
