SaaS Development Team Lead - London (Hybrid working) - £120K - 130K + Share Options

A very exciting opportunity has arisen within a Fintech we work with who are looking for a SaaS Development Team Lead to manage a team of 7 Developers but will still remain hands on. They are a strong AWS shop and need someone with excellent Python skills as well as React and Typescript. The ideal candidate will have experience building SaaS products and a background in Data.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to enhance and expand our data-driven SaaS applications. This role involves leading a development team of Python & Typescript engineers, working alongside the SaaS applications Product Manager. You will be building AWS cloud-native data science and visualisation applications, using Python, React, Typescript and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a development team of Python and Typescript engineers
• Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business goals
• Oversee the application design and development, with effective strategies for testability and product quality.
• Ensure the architecture of the system aligns with best practice and meets the goals for scalability, reliability & security

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Leadership: Proven experience in managing a development team
• SaaS: Expertise in developing single-tenant and multi-tenant B2B SaaS applications
• Design: Proficient in architecture design using AWS services
• Data Skills: Experience in data science and financial data visualisation applications in Typescript
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with development teams and product managers

Desirable Skills

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate fluently with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with data science tools, eg one or more of Spark, pandas, DuckDB, DataBricks, Snowflake
• Knowledge of agile development and continuous delivery methodologies
