This profile works with configuration management and has a specialized role in supporting 4G/5G slice management for Vodafone in Ireland. The role involves the following:

Overall DescriptionConfiguration Management:

• Manages and optimizes network configurations to ensure optimal performance of the 4G and 5G networks.
• Tracks and documents changes in the network infrastructure to maintain consistency and prevent errors.
• Ensures that network configurations comply with company standards and customer requirements.

4G/5G Slice Management:

• Network slicing is a key feature of 5G, allowing the network to be divided into virtual segments ("slices") tailored to the specific requirements of various applications (eg, low latency for IoT or high bandwidth for streaming).
• The role ensures that these slices are properly configured, allocated resources, and maintained to meet diverse customer needs.

Specific Qualifications and ExperienceHands-on experience with Nokia MantaRay NM:

• Troubleshooting network issues using advanced tools and techniques.
• Managing and maintaining configurations across 4G/5G networks.
• Software management, including upgrades and patching, to ensure stable operations.
• Planning and implementing configuration changes to support 5G slices and their specific requirements for bandwidth, latency, and reliability.
• Integration with automation tools (eg, Ansible, Netconf/YANG) for efficient configuration management.
• Collaborating with teams in core network, radio planning, and operations to ensure slicing technologies function correctly.
