About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of payment gateway systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across the project life cycle, including system design, implementation, and performance optimization.
• Integrate payment gateway solutions with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruption.
• Evaluate and implement best practices to enhance payment security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to define technical requirements and deliverables.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide strategic solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements relevant to payment processing systems.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect specializing in payment gateways.
• Deep understanding of platforms like BOIPA, Elavon, and other leading payment solutions.
• Strong expertise in designing scalable and secure payment processing systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in payment systems, such as Java, Python, or .NET.
• Experience with API integration and development, particularly in the context of payment processing.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements (eg, PCI DSS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
• Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics for fraud detection and prevention.
• Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks is a plus.
