Our client are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. This role involves managing and supporting a variety of in-house applications for purposes such as application management and coordination, automation platforms, and infrastructure as code. As a Level 3 support and SRE role, the position holds global responsibility for managing these Middleware products with on-call coverage for production escalations. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day management of the infrastructure environment, troubleshoot with users, manage changes, incidents, escalations, and problem management while working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues and automate processes.

• Manage and support in-house applications developed for purposes like application management and coordination, automation platforms, and infrastructure as code.
• Provide Level 3 support and handle production escalations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and automate operational and user processes.
• Troubleshoot with users and handle changes, incidents, escalations, and problem management.
• Proactively automate operational processes to reduce toil and time to market.

• 8+ years of overall IT experience .
• Advanced Linux/Unix support experience .
• Strong Shell Scripting and Python programming skills for SRE activities.
• Experience with Splunk OR Grafana/Prometheus/Loki stack, preferably both.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible playbooks and Ansible Automation Platform, OR Terraform, especially Terraform Enterprise, preferably both.
• General understanding of Veritas Cluster Service, Load Balancers, and VMWare.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills for managing multiple tasks and high-pressure situations.

• Experience in application support, code release, and liaison with development teams.
• Knowledge of Dockers, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with development tool chains such as git, bitbucket, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Good knowledge of JVMs and its garbage collection mechanisms.
• Experience with relational databases and web Servers/application Servers.
