Data Security and Cryptographic Expert - Financial Institution - Long Term

We have been retained by a major financial institution as they seek a Data Security and Cryptographic Expert to join on a full-time, freelance basis. You'll play a pivotal role in protecting the core of our clients' global financial systems. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to securing sensitive data through cutting-edge cryptographic methods.

In this exciting and strategic position, you won't be working on the front lines of implementation but instead, you'll focus on the theoretical and analytical aspects of data security. You'll assess and ensure that the encryption protocols safeguarding our data are as robust as they should be, constantly evolving to meet global standards and ward off emerging threats. Your insights will directly influence the security posture of a leading financial institution.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in Cryptography, Mathematics, or Computer Science, and at least five years of experience in the world of cybersecurity. Your expertise in encryption algorithms, secure communication protocols, and key management will be critical in driving our security strategies forward. With a global remit, you'll work closely with international teams, advising on the best practices and helping our customer stay ahead of the curve in an ever-changing threat landscape.

This is a hybrid role with the option to visit either their Porto or Lisbon offices.
