Senior Backend Developer

3 month contract + extensions long term

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic, global team in Malmö, Sweden. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of consumer products used globally.

Responsibilities

• Update and evolve the framework, API's, databases, and performance of our Back End, AWS, cloud-based Servers using programs such as Linux, NodeJS, and GIT.
• Participate in Server Side development and turn feature requirements into solutions considering scalability, modularity, robustness, uptime, and security.
• Build and maintain subject matter expertise within our Server Side solutions.
• Work in a small team, being hands-on with coding and prototyping, while interfacing with global colleagues in Silicon Valley.

Qualifications

• Senior Back End developer with experience in the IoT space.
• Demonstrable knowledge of SW Back End and server development within key technologies such as NodeJS, AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code terraform, ansible, Mongo/nosql-database, and rabbitmq.
• Master's degree or similar in a relevant subject (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.).
• Knowledge of software development methods and toolchains.
• Exceptional eye for detail, while understanding the broader context.
• Excellent team player with the ability to contribute individually, and strong problem-solving abilities with a willingness to continuously improve and learn.
• Willingness to work in an international environment, with occasional travel.

Day-to-day

Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with the product development team, maintaining and updating the Back End infrastructure, and ensuring the performance and security of our cloud-based Servers. You will also participate in Server Side development, turning feature requirements into scalable and robust solutions, and maintaining expertise within our Server Side solutions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work in a small, hands-on team environment while interfacing with global colleagues mainly in Silicon Valley.
