Django Developer

Are you an experienced Python developer with strong knowledge of the Django framework? Are you interested in developing the Back End of dashboards and financial services applications used by an international hedge fund based in Vienna? Have you done some Front End development with any JavaScript framework? If so this could be the perfect next Django Developer role for you.

You will be joining a larger development team that is distributed across New York and Vienna, who develop the Back End services for the fund's Dashboards and Back End systems. The team perform approximately 70% Back End development with Python using the Django framework (however, would consider candidates with Flask experience) and 30% Front End development with React. There is a heavy data component to the role and as such you will be working with both SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL databases and using Redis for caching. You will get the opportunity to be involved in a blend of predominantly greenfield and some maintenance work.

The core focus of the role is on what you can deliver from a technical perspective, so previous experience working in financial services or a hedge fund are simply a nice to have, rather than an essential requirement for this role. However, given the nature of the business it is essential that you are based in Vienna or committed to relocating to Vienna and happy to work from their office 5 days a week.
