My client is a decentralised, flat organisation seeking a highly skilled Substrate and Rust Developer to join them as a key player in their Blockchain project. If you have experience working with Polkadot, that's an added bonus!

What You'll Do:

• Hands-on Development: Actively contribute to designing, building, and implementing core Blockchain features, including runtime, multi-chain support, protocol interoperability, and new consensus mechanisms.
• Execution & Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to drive the project forward, overcome technical challenges, and meet engineering milestones.
• Ownership & Accountability: Take ownership of your modules, ensuring high quality, stability, and comprehensive test coverage while keeping everything aligned with release timelines.
• Test-Driven Approach: Optionally design automated tests to ensure the reliability and quality of your work.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product teams, attend daily stand-ups, and participate in sprint planning to keep development aligned with product goals.
• Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of technical excellence within the team.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, detailed documentation for both internal development purposes and external clarity on your assigned modules.
• Industry Engagement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in Blockchain technology, bringing new ideas and solutions to the team.

What They're Looking For:

• Experience: Senior experience in computer science or related fields, with good experience working with Blockchain, decentralised systems, or consensus protocols.
• Substrate & Rust Expertise: A good year of hands-on experience with Substrate, along with a deep understanding of Rust and core system programming.
• Blockchain Knowledge: Experience with applied cryptography, p2p networks, and decentralised system architecture is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of network protocols like HTTP/2, TCP/2, P2P, and IPFS.
• Bonus: Experience with system applications in Rust, Go, or C++ and architecture for use-case specific network protocols or databases.
