Observability Architect

My client, a large consultancy, is in need of an Observability Architect for a 6 month rolling contract based in Leeds offering 2 days per week remote.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Application Log Monitoring:- In-dept experience and knowledge Data observability such as dealing with Logs, Metrics, Traces, Data Contents, Pipeline, Users & Usage, Application Observability tools experience (Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Open Telemetry etc).

The ideal candidate will have experience in Data Observability:- Knowledge of Data observability landscape in the market; Acceldata, IBM databand, monte carlo and Collibra. Features and Pros/Cons

Cross Platform Pipelines:- Understand of data pipelines (batch and streaming) using different technologies (Kafka, Spark, hive, Big Query, GCS), Understand how Data Observability tooling can be incorporated with Pipelines
Architectural Documentation:- Create architecture proposal aimed CIO level, Undertake design and how it fits into wider data platform landscape.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cross Stakeholder skills:- Able to work with senior stakeholders to consolidate all use case at the End Customer with clear and professional documentation. Stakeholders include Architects and Lead engineers within Payment, GDT and Wholesale banking, Create business case showing value and cost savings for the end customer in adopting single Application and Data observability approach/tooling.
