We are seeking a visionary Head of SAP to lead an ERP strategy and oversee the end-to-end management of SAP systems within our clients industrial engineering and manufacturing organisation. This is a critical leadership position responsible for aligning technology with business goals, optimising SAP functionality, and driving digital transformation across their operations.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP modules relevant to manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering scalable and efficient ERP solutions in complex industrial settings.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive SAP strategy to support business objectives and operational excellence.
• Partner with executive leadership to ensure alignment of SAP initiatives with organizational goals.
• Stay updated on SAP advancements, and identify opportunities for innovation and system enhancements.

• Oversee the implementation, configuration, integration, and optimisation of SAP modules, including but not limited to PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling).
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP with other enterprise systems, tools, and data sources.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for up time and reliability.

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing SAP team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with SAP consultants, vendors, and implementation partners.

• Oversee large-scale SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts across global or multi-site operations.
• Define project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Establish and maintain strong governance around change management and system updates.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse and streamline business processes through SAP functionalities.
• Drive automation, efficiency, and standardisation across supply chain, production, and financial workflows.
• Implement robust data analytics and reporting solutions leveraging SAP's BI and analytics tools.

• Ensure adherence to compliance standards, including SOX, GDPR, and industry-specific regulations.
• Implement robust data security protocols to protect sensitive business information.

• Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline, enhanced by relevant SAP certifications.
• Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in global industrial engineering or manufacturing sectors, ideally within similar industries.
• Leadership Experience: A proven ability to manage cross-functional, global offshore teams and lead SAP roll outs as a Project Manager or Stream Lead.
• Team Management: A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing teams of 50+ Full time employees, driving performance and aligning outcomes with organisational objectives.
• SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP solutions, support frameworks, and best practices, particularly in SAP ECC systems, with strong familiarity or experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Module Proficiency: Advanced understanding of SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, and WM, including their integration.
• Additional SAP Insights: Experience with SAP Cloud solutions (eg, BTP) or exposure to comparable templates to is a significant advantage.
• Strategic Thinking: A strong ability to align SAP initiatives with business objectives, supported by expertise in SAP processes and best practices across various templates.
• Process and Data Analytics: Hands-on experience with tools like Celonis for process and data mining.
• Consultation Skills: Proficiency in internal consulting and facilitation, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, processes, and shifting project time lines.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in other languages relevant to regional operations is a strong plus.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed.
