Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Manager to lead a team in a private care home in West Wales. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the codes of practice for social care in Wales and a passion for providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Management:
* Provide strong leadership and direction to the care team.
* Ensure the care home operates in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
* Compliance and Quality Assurance:
* Ensure compliance with the Social Care Wales codes of practice and other relevant legislation.
* Maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
* Conduct regular audits and implement improvements as necessary.
* Staff Management:
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
* Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
* Promote a positive and supportive working environment.
* Resident Care:
* Ensure that all residents receive person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and records.
* Foster good relationships with residents, their families, and external agencies.
* Financial Management:
* Manage the care home's budget effectively.
* Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on care quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A relevant qualification in health and social care (eg, NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care).
* Registration with Social Care Wales.
* Extensive experience in a managerial role within a care home setting.
* Strong knowledge of the Social Care Wales codes of practice and other relevant legislation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
