PLM Functional Consultant - United Arab Emirates- 6months + - Freelance

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for an PLM Functional Consultant for an exciting project with a global FMCG client of ours.

Requirements for the PLM Functional Consultant are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience focusing on product life cycle management in the FMCG sector.
  • Familiarity with PLM implementation and project management methodologies.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and vendor selection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to elicit responses from stakeholders through interviews.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of proactivity to drive projects forward.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (eg, Visio).
  • Ability to craft presentations in a storytelling format to engage and persuade stakeholders.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with R&D and other cross-functional teams to gather and document detailed business requirements.
    • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand needs and expectations.
    • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system implementation.
  2. Process Mapping:
    • Analyze current processes and workflows within the product life cycle.
    • Develop detailed process maps to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
    • Work with stakeholders to design and implement streamlined processes.
  3. Future State Definition:
    • Define the future state and architecture of product life cycle management in alignment with business goals.
    • Develop roadmaps and strategies for achieving the desired future state.
    • Ensure alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
  4. Vendor Selection:
    • Identify and evaluate potential vendors for PLM solution implementation.
    • Apply criteria for vendor selection and conduct thorough assessments.
    • Collaborate with procurement to draft contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure successful implementation.
  5. System Implementation:
    • Lead the implementation of new systems and tools to support product life cycle management.
    • Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration.
    • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective adoption.
  6. Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Facilitate collaboration and alignment among different teams and departments.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes and systems.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure the organisation remains competitive.
