This position involves a balance of hands-on technical work and mentoring, with approximately 90% of your time focused on practical implementation and 10% dedicated to leadership and support for junior engineers. Key Responsibilities: Hands-On Development: Engage directly with cloud technologies, primarily OpenStack, and leverage your coding skills in tools such as Ansible, Helm, Terraform, and Docker. Experience with GitOps and CI/CD practices is highly desirable. Solution Architecture: Lead the development of solution architectures while ensuring alignment with technical standards and project goals. Systems Design: Design complex systems, conducting impact analyses and managing associated risks effectively. Integration and Build: Oversee systems integration, utilizing automation and continuous integration strategies. Project Management: Define and monitor systems development projects, ensuring compliance with architectural standards. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a proactive and self-sufficient work environment. Collaboration: Utilize tools like Jira for project tracking and engage in daily stand-ups and sprint planning to ensure alignment and progress.
