Document services/testing to a high standard using Java tools where necessary. Manage faults in accordance with the VMO2 Fault Management Process and measure and report performance against departmental KPI's. Ability to prioritise multiple Test activities and manage changing requirements whilst contributing to the development of the team. Ensuring non compliant TSA measures are stopped from going into the live network. Skills: Understanding of Project Management methodologies with excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills. An excellent Team Player comfortable in leading and following team mates where opportunity calls and have test and integration experience in a Mobile Network IP environment. Must have an ability to work independently and acts as a resource for colleagues directing their work if necessary. Knowledge of the VMO2 network is required along with skills in operating Spirent Test Centre, IXIA and Wireshark or similar IP packet generation and tracing tooling. Experience Minimum of Cisco CCNP accredited or equivalent with good knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS and LTE principles. Skilled in the use of Spirent Test Centre, IXIA and Wireshark or similar IP packet generation and tracing tooling and an understanding of Testing Methodologies. In depth knowledge and experience with Cisco, Juniper, Ethernet Switches, IP protocols, LAN, WAN, MAN & SAN networks, MPLS/VPN & IP Security/VPN technologies. Desirable Good knowledge of IT system administration on Microsoft and Unix/Linux systems and PDH/SDH, ATM, Frame Relay systems. ISTQB (ISEB) Foundation qualified. The role is office based in Slough but travel to other parts of the UK or to other countries (eg other VMO2 operating businesses) may be required from time to time. Role is onsite in Slough to begin with, Inside IR35 £300 a day, 8 months contract Inside Ir35. The role requires specialized depth of expertise in IP testing and problem solving with excellent analytical/troubleshooting skills of complex problems encompassing an in depth knowledge of the VMO2 MPLS Network and Juniper IP equipment. Expert in the use of IP test tools, with an in depth knowledge of the measured applicable to a mobile operator adhering to the Telecom Security Act. Ability to analyse detailed technical documentation in order to follow Test Strategies and write associated Test Plans and Test Criteria's that match the scope and level of risk agreed with our customers. Work with our Technical Design Authorities to assist them with Design and Implementation activities. Ability to produce Risk assessments based on the test cycle experience and clearly document and summarise the key factors. You must be able to Work independently receiving minimal guidance & direction and It may be necessary to manage Upgrades which could involve testing outside normal hours.
