Principal Software Engineer required by a high-tech software company located in central Reading. As the company continues to scale, they are looking for Principal Software Engineers to work on their high-performance software systems. The company tends to employ highly experienced polyglot programmers with knowledge of various programming languages and strong systems design/architecture. Their codebase is varied so the successful candidate is likely to be technology agnostic. They have a flat management structure and benefit from a highly collaborative working environment. Your new company I've been retained to recruit a DevOps Engineer (Azure DevOps) for an award-winning financial services business in the South East. You can work remotely within the UK in this role, visiting their Southampton head office around once a month, with this in mind you must be located within 100 miles/2 hours of Southampton. Experience with source code management system such as GIT is essential as you'll be defining the application branching strategy. Engineers here aren't dictated to, you're encouraged to challenge the status quo, to suggest enhancements and to tackle technical debt head on. What you'll need to succeed We are looking for 5+ years commercial experience in DevOps roles and working with Azure. You must have strong experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and will have excellent Docker & Kubernetes skills. Nice to haves include GIT, Selenium and of course the deeper suite of Azure tools (App Services, Azure Functions etc). If you have worked in Financial Services of Insurance previously your application will stand out, but this is not a pre-requisite.
