Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 dependent on experience
My client is a well-established utilities and construction company based in Essex and working on projects through the South. Due to expansion they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of our client's projects. This role offers the chance to work on busy projects within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for upcoming projects
Oversee cost control and financial management throughout project lifecycles
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
Conduct risk assessments and provide financial advice to stakeholders
Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time
Prepare regular financial reports and maintain accurate records
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the utilities or construction sectors
NEC4 Experience
Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control procedures
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proficient in relevant software applications
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred
