We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a Electronic Design Engineer to join them on a major Defence project that's based in Tewkesbury or Chippenham.
Job Title - Electronic Design Engineer
Day Rate - up to £650/day (based on experience)
Location - Tewkesbury or Chippenham
iR35 determination - Inside
Duration - 6 months

Design Experience

• Digital and analogue electronic schematic design, simulation, implementation, and verification
• Multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) design involving high speed devices: FPGAs and/or processors
• Experience with Altium Designer, or equivalent
• Experience with consumer products from concept through to production
• Troubleshooting, modifying existing designs, recommending and implementing design improvements
• Undertake analysis of circuits for design assurance, DFM, FMA
• Understanding of cryptography

Technical Leadership

• Investigation, proposal and selection of relevant standards
• Develop new techniques/methods and their supporting processes
• Assist others as a technical specialist/advisor

Documentation

• Review technical documents for conformity and quality
• Author technical documentation, including research reports, and technical proposals to support bids
• Tailor document style and content appropriately for consumption by a wide range of stakeholders (customers, evaluators, engineers, management, etc.)

Engineering Support

• Provide technical expertise to broader product development activities
• Provide fault diagnostics (eg returned products) to assist in product improvements
• Client facing support

Technology Research

• Evaluation of emerging technologies (eg, processors, System on Chip, etc. in the context of Amiosec products and roadmaps)
