Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Akamai Engineer to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will be responsible for optimizing our web delivery and security performance using Akamai's suite of products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Akamai solutions, a strong understanding of CDN technologies, and a passion for improving the user experience through innovative solutions.

* Implementation and Configuration:
o Configure and manage Akamai products, including CDN, WAF, and other security solutions to ensure optimal performance and security.
* Performance Optimization:
o Monitor website performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to optimize the delivery of content using Akamai's tools.
* Security Management:
o Implement and maintain security policies, including DDoS protection and web application Firewall configurations.
* Collaboration:
o Work closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate Akamai services into applications and ensure best practices in deployment.
* Documentation:
o Create and maintain detailed documentation of Akamai configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
* Testing and QA:
o Conduct testing for new implementations, updates, and changes to ensure compliance with performance and security standards.
* Support and Troubleshooting:
o Provide expert-level support for Akamai-related issues and assist in resolving incidents in a timely manner.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Experience:
o 3+ years of commercial working experience with Akamai technologies and CDN solutions.
* Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and web application security.
o Familiarity with Scripting languages (eg, Python, Bash) for automation and reporting.
* Certifications:
o Relevant Akamai certifications or training are preferred.
* Problem-Solving:
o Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Communication:
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
