Job Title: Software Developer
Location: Leeds office based with the option of home working after probation
Working Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday
Salary: £40/45k DOE

About the role: An established and successful software company based on the outskirts of Leeds is seeking a Software Developer to join their team and play a key role in the development of their pharmacy management software solutions. About the company: Over the past decade, pharmacy profit margins have been increasingly challenged, especially due to recent changes in funding structures. The company offers an integrated ordering software platform that is compatible with major Patient Medical Record (PMR) systems, designed to optimize profitability and compliance in pharmacy purchasing. Independent pharmacies using this platform can streamline operations while ensuring they adhere to regulatory and financial best practices. The software's rules-based system secures the best prices and directs orders to preferred suppliers at optimal times, enabling pharmacies to operate efficiently.


Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements analysis and estimate tasks accurately
• Develop robust applications, ensuring security and seamless integration
• Design intuitive user interfaces and present demos for feedback
• Utilize the .NET stack, including C#, .NET Core, and Blazor
• Maintain thorough documentation for codebases, APIs, and user guides
• Execute comprehensive testing, including unit and integration testing, and debugging
• Provide high-quality technical support to clients and users
• Stay up-to-date with developments in the .NET ecosystem and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a .NET developer
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, and other .NET technologies
• Experience with MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework
• Strong knowledge of Git and Visual Studio
• Expertise in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging
• Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and architectures
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with Azure App Service or IIS
• Familiarity with Legacy technologies (eg, classic ASP)
• Knowledge of Front End technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with VB.NET

The Ideal Candidate should have:
. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT support or service desk role.
. Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10, and Azure AD, with a solid technical background.
. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer service.
. Experience working within the ITIL framework or similar service management methodologies.
