Linux Engineer (SC Cleared) - £440 per day via Umbrella - 3 months - Bristol (on-site) - SCC Flex Contract

We are looking for a skilled Linux Engineer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our Linux-based systems. You will ensure that our standard operating builds meet the highest benchmarks for compliance, performance, and business needs.

Your responsibilities as the Linux Engineer:

• Manage, maintain, and enhance Linux infrastructure (primarily RedHat) to optimize system performance, security, and reliability.
• Administer virtualized environments (VMWare) and storage technologies (NetApp) to support business operations.
• Automate deployment and configuration tasks using Scripting languages (bash, Python) and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using logical problem-solving skills, ensuring swift resolutions and continuity of services.
• Leverage monitoring and logging tools to proactively maintain system performance and uptime.

As a successful Linux Engineer, you will have:

• Strong expertise in Linux operating systems, primarily RedHat, with experience in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance.
• Active SC Clearance
• Proficiency in Scripting languages (bash, Python) and familiarity with Ansible for automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare) and storage systems (NetApp).
• Knowledge of containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• Excellent logical troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and logging tools to ensure service continuity.
