Databricks Cloud Engineer - Remote and Copenhagen - English speaking

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Databricks Cloud Engineer.

For this role you will need to be onsite in Copenhagen for a minimum one week per month.

Job description

Technical expert and enjoys working hands-on Strong client facing person, good at communication in both writing as well as in presentations Willingness to travel to Copenhagen Azure infrastructure and IaC expert, (data engineer or application development experience as well is a plus!)

Details:

1. Azure Expertise

Cloud compute: Experience working with application hosting solutions, such as AKS, Container app service and app services.

Databases: Experience working with database services, such as Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Managed Postgres or similar.

Azure Entra ID: Strong knowledge of Azure Entra ID, including application registrations, service principals, managed identities, as well as identity and access management within Azure for both users and services and applications.

Cloud networking: Strong understanding networking in Cloud, virtual networks and subnets, application gateway, route tables, NSG, DNS and Firewall Application Developer understanding - Application development experience is a plus, which gives you a better understanding of the need and pain points that application teams may have.

Azure Databricks: Experience with the Azure Databricks service is a plus.

(nice to have) Azure Policies: Experience working with Azure Policies to implement guardrails in an environment is a plus.

Strong ability to write technical documentation

2. Stakeholder Communication and Technical Leadership Technical Presentation and writing: Ability to clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in writing as well as in presentations.

Business Alignment: Understanding of how cloud platform solutions align with business goals, translating technical solutions into business value.

Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams and presenting progress, outcomes, and insights to leadership.

3. Infrastructure as Code, DevOps Pipelines:

Terraform: Experience working hands-on with Terraform (or other IaC-language) on large and complex infrastructure environments.

CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in setting up continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.
