Our client, a Doha based financial services group, is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect for an exciting new, strategic role designing and maintaining all of their cloud systems and services. The role offers a TAX-FREE salary plus generous benefits and relocation costs to Qatar. Due to the Qatari entry criteria, a university degree is a MANDATORY requirement. A financial services background is preferred, ideally with experience gained in an Asset Management or Investment Management environment.

• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on hybrid solutions
• Proven proficiency in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform - ALL ARE ESSENTIAL
• Expertise in cloud automation tools - Terraform, CloudFormation
• Strong background in Scripting and programming languages - Python, PowerShell
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools - Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines - Jenkins, GitLab
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices
• Knowledge of Cloud Chaos Engineering tools
• Understanding of network architecture and security protocols in cloud environments
• Experience with cloud cost management and optimization strategies
• Strong understanding of systems planning methodologies, security principles, and the implementation of software management best practices to ensure robust and secure IT environments
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies. Ensuring cloud architectures are resilient and can recover quickly from outages or data loss
