As a Linux and OpenShift Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, support, and troubleshooting of applications running on Docker, Podman, OpenShift, and Linux (RHEL virtual machines). In this role, you will also take ownership of creating Ansible playbooks to automate tasks across Linux environments and leverage ArgoCD/Kustomize to streamline OpenShift operations, driving the automation of existing manual processes. Key Responsibilities: - Manage, maintain, support, and troubleshoot Linux systems and associated infrastructure, including storage, hardware, and virtualization. - Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. - Collaborate on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of infrastructure projects. - Provide second-level technical support as part of the broader support team, including participating in on-call rotations. - Support containerized applications running on Podman, Docker, and OpenShift, ensuring smooth operation and issue resolution. Qualifications and Skills: - Certification or formal education in IT System Administration, System Engineering, or related fields. - At least 6 years of experience as a Linux and OpenShift Administrator. - Proficiency in OpenShift, OLM (Operators), Helm, ArgoCD, GitLab, Ansible, Ansible Automation, Satellite, IDM, Linux (RHEL), Podman/Docker, and Shell Scripting. - Additional knowledge of VMware vCenter/ESXi, Grafana/Prometheus, ELK, Python, and Go is beneficial. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong prioritization skills. - Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and a proactive, hands-on approach. - High level of integrity, accountability, and responsibility. - Willing to come onsite to the office in Basel. - Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German, Spanish, or Portuguese is an advantage.
