Overview

Our client is a growing, and well-established IT infrastructure services partner for many leading UK and global organisations, with solutions across managed, infrastructure, project, and professional services.

With expanding operations in the UK, the business is looking to appoint a Mobile Data Centre Engineer to join an established team, supporting customer sites in life cycle support, managed services, and infrastructure project work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support across equipment and connectivity auditing, installation, relocation, decommissioning, patching, and troubleshooting across various customer sites.
• Play a key role in managed data centre services, including migrations, capacity management, rollout, and deployment.
• Work with the wider team to ensure customer infrastructure projects are delivered and their environment is maintained to requirements, such as structured cabling, rack deployment, aisle containment, and wireless networking.
• Attend customer sites daily and be the key point of contact.

Key Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites on a daily basis.
• Essential experience in data centres and critical infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in the following areas:

- Hardware, cable, and connection auditing

- Troubleshooting and testing of hardware/cabling/patching

- Data centre IMAC works.

- Data cable patching and schedules.

- Installation of copper and fibre optic cabling with certifications.

- Office/data centre migrations.

- Large infrastructure installations (racks, PDUs, cabling containment).

- Adhering to strict timelines and quality standards.

- Relevant certifications (CNCI, IPAF, CSCS, WAH, PASMA)

• Hands-on, field-based work, involving extensive physical activity.
• Strong verbal and written skills for clear communication with clients and colleagues.
• Full clean UK driving licence and passport.
