Electrical Modelling Engineer, MATLAB, Simulink, digital design

My client is an aviation company. They are currently looking to secure an Electrical Modelling Engineer to join their team.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Provide electrical engineering analysis and technical support for the planning and operation of the electric power system.
• Power system analysis especially short-circuit, coordination, and arc Flash.
• Implement appropriate electrical system modelling, and develop tools and procedures to monitor and control the system.
• Perform system studies, analyze simulated or actual operating results, develop solutions to current or future system issues, and appropriately report findings and recommendations.
• Write test plans and perform evaluation testing, including how the electronic components interface with mechanical components

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• Min. 4 years of experience in electrical modelling, programming skills and an understanding of high-power digital design and power fundamentals.
• Electrical properties of an electrically distributed powertrain.
• Working knowledge of software including MATLAB and Simulink.
• Extensive background in electrical engineering.
