Technical Author

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires a Technical Author - DORA to be based at their client's office in London, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London office 3 days per week.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

The purpose of the Technical Author will be to create accurate and concise documentation as required to support the client's DORA program.

The right candidate should have good knowledge of DORA policies and procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding on DORA policies and procedure
• Work with SMEs to establish the portfolio of documents required
• Work with the SMEs to understand each method of backup and restore used within the environment
• Produce high quality comprehensive documentation based on the information obtained
• Ensure documentation meets quality standards and is user-friendly
• Submit the documents for peer review and amend as required

Key Requirements

• Excellent technical authoring skills
• Knowledge of DORA policies and procedure
• Good understanding of Infrastructure generally (Windows, Unix, Linux, Networking, Virtualization)
• Possess a good working knowledge IT infrastructure in general. More detailed knowledge of DORA
• Expert in the use of standard authoring tools such as Word, Excel and Visio
• Proven experience as a Technical Author, preferably in storage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proven track record of delivering to challenging time scales
