As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and securing the digital banking platforms for one of our key clients!

What You'll Do

As an IT Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in advancing the security of our client's cloud platforms and supporting their DevOps teams in the secure development of advanced applications and technologies. In addition to in-house developed and managed applications, our client also utilizes various SaaS solutions. Another key responsibility is to regularly assess the security of the client's solution providers.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Enhancing the security fundamentals of the client's digital banking platforms.
• Automating recurring manual tasks in IT security control activities.
• Integrating security requirements in the client's CI/CD pipelines and developing best practices and security standards in collaboration with the security officers.
• Supporting and coaching the client's DevOps teams in their secure software development process and promoting (cloud-native) application security.
• Assessing security documentation and providing advice to various business domains within the client's organization.
• Identifying current and emerging security technology trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, and actively managing risks.
• Evaluating new service providers concerning their security measures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security compliance and best practices.

What You Will Bring:

• At least 2 years of experience in a security-related domain with hands-on development experience.
• Understanding and familiarity with AWS/Azure, so certifications in those fields are a nice to have.
• Working knowledge of various DevOps tools.
• CISSP, or other security certifications are a nice to have.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch is considered a +, but is not essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
