Pay rate: £40.00 p/h inside IR35.

IO Associates seeks an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer for the Filton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD tools to design and validate integration and assembly solutions for system and structural components, incorporating them into a broader digital mock-up.
• Conduct research and validation testing for technologies and build/assembly solutions by creating physical prototypes from digital models and testing them on a physical wing mock-up.
• Analyze and evaluate potential integration and assembly techniques, considering their impact on the broader industrial system, including factory flowlines and necessary jigs and tooling.
• Collaborate with design office colleagues to contribute to trade studies addressing various systems and structural integration challenges, including wing structure, fuel and inerting systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Skills

• Proficient in using CAD tools for design purposes, with the ability to manipulate CAD models effectively.
• Experienced in manufacturing techniques, as well as assembly and fastening techniques and technologies relevant to aircraft design and assembly.
• Strong understanding of aircraft system integration and assembly requirements, industry standards, and certification needs.
• Knowledgeable about industrial systems for aircraft manufacturing.
• Experienced in aircraft design and manufacturing principles.
