Alexander Ash are currently working with a global conglomerate who are looking for a SQL DBA to join their multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for any SQL DBA who is dedicated and will seek to identify improvements and efficiency's, while utilising new technologies and existing tools as the organisation takes on one of it's biggest bodies of work.

Skill Requirements

• Financial services Experience
• Experience working as a Senior Database Administrator with extensive experience working on data and data platforms hosted in the cloud
• Generic Data/Database Administration activities (in a Cloud Environment)
• Snowflake & MongoDB Atlas Administration activities
• AWS General DBA/Admin Tasks related to RDS and S3.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations and provide ongoing support for the cloud-based databases, particularly within the AWS RDS (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) environment and for the cloud-based data warehouses on Snowflake and MongoDB Atlas environments.
• Perform database deployments, configurations, upgrades, and patches, ensuring compliance with best practices and security standards.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Administer database and Snowflake permissions/RBAC/row level access develop and implement data security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information.
