Are you passionate about making a real impact in the field of research? Our client is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Research Impact Lead to join their team. As the Research Impact Lead, you will play a key role in developing and managing the Impact function for our client's organisation and contribute to their overall objectives. With your expertise, you will be responsible for driving the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) approaches and quantitative and qualitative analytics to showcase the significant difference that our client's funding has made.

Contract details:

• £30-£35 per hour (inside IR35/umbrella rate)
• 6 month initial contract
• Mostly home working (1 day per week on-site in West Yorkshire)

What will you be doing?

• Developing and managing the Impact function
• Providing career development, performance evaluation, and work evaluation for the Impact team members
• Identifying approaches for demonstrating the impact of our client's funding through MEL approaches and analytics
• Overseeing, developing, and maintaining programme evaluations and Impact solutions
• Aligning our client's organisation with Impact/MEL initiatives within the industry and assisting with cross-organisation developments
• Providing specialist knowledge of programme evaluations and methodologies
• Sharing your expertise in writing and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts representing our client's organisation
• Leading appropriate Impact projects and evaluations, including ethical approval processes for programme improvements
• Managing budget elements related to Impact evaluations, including defining specifications and evaluating quotes

What do you bring to the table?

• Experience in research and impact assessment
• Proven track record of delivering evidence-based evaluations
• Excellent writing and publishing skills with experience in peer-reviewed publications
• Experience leading a team within a cross-organisational setting
• Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods and data analysis tools
