Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for a Scala Developer on a 6 months contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code for web applications using Scala and the Play Framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are current and effective.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Scala Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and the Play Framework.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with database systems, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Front End technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented and functional programming.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools (eg, Jenkins, Travis CI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
