Location: Cardiff CF14/Probationary period of on-site working at Woodland House, moving to hybrid working thereafter
A skilled Principal Analyst Programmer is required to join the Digital and Health Informatics (D&HI) department at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
This role will support the implementation of an electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) system, providing an opportunity to play a key role in the biggest digital transformation within the UHB to date. The ePMA system will transform the way clinicians prescribe & administer medication, making it safer & more efficient, impacting all staff groups, specialties and services across the UHB, transforming the way they work.
The successful candidate will join the Digital Service Transformation team with focus is on software development, integration, and interoperability. Must be organised, enthusiastic and motivated, working in a rapidly changing and challenging environment.

Take responsibility for one or more of the following core UHB IT systems, including the management of enhancements and bug-fixes, system performance and all application specific technical issues:
Represent the interests of the Digital Service Transformation team and technical interests of the UHB on various corporate system user groups. Liaise with suppliers and departments outside D&HI on IT issues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
