Network Engineer (SC Cleared) - via Umbrella - 3-month Contract - Southampton (Onsite) - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Technician (SC or DV Security Cleared) to provide network support to enable project delivery. This role involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of layer 2/3 network equipment, and network security appliances, and ensuring the network's optimal performance using analysis and monitoring tools.

Your Responsibilities as the suitable Network Engineer:

Maintain and enhance the performance, facilities, and integrity of all online systems.

Plan, configure, and implement networks at local and remote sites.

Install and configure communications software on all network-attached devices to meet contractual standards.

Provide network advice to support staff, analysts, end users, and project development teams.

Plan configurations for new equipment and reconfigure existing equipment, assessing their impact.

Implement necessary security restrictions on network devices by departmental policy.

Develop and maintain online systems, communications, network documentation, and standards, including work instructions and network topology maps.

Your skills as the perfect Network Engineer:

SC Cleared and willing to apply for DV.

Extensive experience in IP data networks.

CCNA or equivalent network experience.

Valid UK driving licence.

Hands-on experience with Firewall technologies.

Hands-on experience with CISCO layer 2/3 Switches.

Hands-on experience with Forcepoint NG Firewalls.

Hands-on experience with F5 BigIP Load balancers.

Hands-on experience with Fortinet (Fortigate, FortiWeb).

Experience with Azure and OCI.
