Position Available: Supply Chain Quality Manager
Location: Greater Manchester (hybrid) & Dynamic Working Hours
Salary: Up to £62,000 + Company Bonus & Very Good Pension Package
Experience needed: We are looking for an experienced quality professional who can come in at a senior level and support the head of quality in the planning and deliverance of short, medium & long-term plans and goals. The ideal candidate would come from a complex engineering or manufacturing environment such as defence, aerospace, automotive, aviation and similar.

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Quality Manager to join the team who will support the Head of Quality Assurance in the deployment of short, medium and long-term objectives with respect to quality targets and milestones.

The role will also include:

• Ensuring that the team has the necessary skills and capabilities to provide adequate supply chain Quality Assurance to our internal customers
• Acting as the key point of contact for supply chain Quality Assurance activities
• Serving as the primary interface for supply chain Quality activities across allocated suppliers and projects
• Implementing APQP tools for both new development and mass production products, including Process Mapping, FMEA, Control Planning, and MSA

Due to the complexity and uniqueness of the work in our business, we can only consider candidates coming from a similar industry as defence eg, automotive, aerospace, aviation, electronics, energy, oil & gas, robotics, telecommunications, and other complex forms of manufacturing/engineering.

What we need from you:

• Experienced Quality professional skilled in implementing Quality systems for both development and production practices
• Proficient in Supply Chain Quality Management and performance techniques
• Skilled in identifying Quality risks, critical issues, and creating mitigation solutions to ensure supplier Quality performance
• Strong Project Management background from a Quality perspective
• Qualified to lead audits to the AS9100 standard and manage corrective actions
• Experienced in training and developing less experienced Quality professionals
• Practitioner of modern QA problem-solving methods
• Skilled in managing supplier Quality dashboards, KPIs, and data analysis for continuous improvement
• Leadership experience in improving products and processes
• Capable of providing technical product and process support to the supply chain Quality team
• Experienced in working with suppliers to develop robust processes using defined Quality tools and techniques
• Ensures compliance with process requirements and contractual standards
