Azure Cloud Data Engineer, Financial Services/Banking, Prague, Hybrid, Permanent

As an Azure Cloud Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role within our Reference Data team. Your expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks) and a willingness to learn and work with Golang will be essential. You'll work on end-to-end dataflows, including data ingestion, validation, transformation, and output via various API formats. Collaborating with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers, you'll contribute to building a new Data platform that, processes more than 140 million data updates daily.

Role Overview: As a Cloud Data Engineer, you'll be a vital part of our Data team. Your expertise in end-to-end dataflows, Azure Cloud technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks), and data architecture will help us build a cutting-edge Reference Data platform.

In this role, you will be:

• Designing, implementing, and testing software components and services.
• Developing data pipelines, models, APIs, and data quality metrics.
• Writing efficient, maintainable code.
• Collaborating with data architects and software engineers on architectural decisions.
• Supporting functional analysts (FAs) and testers.
• Leading the transformation of our reference data applications to the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A University degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical software development experience.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure and/or GCP), Azure Data Bricks, and data lakes.
• A willingness to learn Go programming language.
• A familiarity with Git and agile project methodology.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
