Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Employment Type: Contract Location: London/Newbury/Manchester/Remote (Hybrid working) Rate: £450 per day outside ir35 Duration: 3-month rolling Start date: ASAP Role Purpose Create quality electrical designs compliant with CDM, electrical standards, and legislation. Support construction projects requiring electrical work. Use design software and standard calculations for clear electrical installation drawings, schematics, and reports. Produce HLD (Electrical) for NPI and sign off on Electrical Installation Certifications. Evaluate and ensure the quality and compliance of electrical designs from Vodafone partners and third parties. Key Responsibilities Report to Networks Development Electrical SME and design Authority for the RBS/RAN Estate. Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to create HLD Electrical Designs. Provide feedback to improve existing electrical design guidance. Evaluate electrical requirements and documents from MSP estates and report to SME. Produce electrical designs to support internal deployment resources. Advise and audit third-party electrical designs. Attend RAN Sites for design checks, NPI Trials, and Supplier reviews. Required Qualifications and Experience Minimum 12 months of experience in telecoms electrical design. Proficiency in ModecSoft Electrical OM Design Software. At least 12 months experience in telecoms electrical design Experience and proficiency in ModecSoft Electrical OM Design Software. Good technical knowledge of electrical systems in telecoms ie, AC, DC, PSU and Earthing etc Extensive on site and design experience of BTS sites. Electrical OM Design or other Electrical design Software All required H&S certificates, include as a minimum RF Awareness & Rooftop Access. Climbing and NRSWA Desirable skills Level 3 Electrical Inspection and Testing - C&G 2391 ( Or Equivalent) TEL003 (or equivalent) DC Electrical Installations in Telecoms Lightning Protection Systems - Inspection & Testing Electrical Verification and Installation qualifications and experience (Fully qualified Electrician) NICEIC/NAPIT QS experience Electrical Gold Card
