A market-leading Aerospace client of ours is currently in the market for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team based in Gloucester. You will be part of a diverse multi skilled process and assemble maintenance team, working on equipment used in surface finish, heat treatment, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), paint & OE Assembly. This role involves being responsible for the safe upkeep and reliability of production assets used in the manufacturing of aircraft parts. Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance. * Interoperation of engineering drawings to fault find & identify spare parts required. * Documenting & Prioritising work through a CMMS. * Operate within all HS&E standards and Policies. What they are looking for. Mandatory: * Time served engineering maintenance apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) * Must be able to read mechanical drawings including assembly and schematics. * Ability to work as part of a team and work independently. * Ability to demonstrate fault-finding skills/abilities. * Fabrication and fitting skills (Core bench-fitting skills necessary). * Experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System). * Be able to work safely and adhere to HS&E standards and policies. Preferred: * Suitable experience working with furnaces, NDT equipment or surface finish equipment * Electrical experience/qualification. * HNC in mechanical engineering. * Knowledge of lean, 5s & 6 sigma methodologies. FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER MEDICAL IMAGING EQUIPMENT The Company An exciting new Service Engineering opportunity is now available within an industry leading provider of medical imaging systems. Training is provided and so this employer offers a rare opportunity for engineers with no medical experience to break into the much sought after medical field. Through organic growth along with the acquisition of other companies, you would be joining this organisation during an exciting period of expansion. The Role As a Field Service Engineer you would be part of the Service Engineering team carrying out installations, planned and reactive maintenance as well as break down repair work on a range of medical imaging systems such as MRIs, CTs, X-Rays and Ultrasounds. You would be responsible for managing customers assigned to you, hospitals, predominantly in the Southern part of Ireland, in and around the Cork area. However, as with any field based role, flexibility to travel further afield will be required on occasions should this be required by the wider team and business. You will be required to take part in an out of hours on call rota 1 in every 6 weeks, paid at 200EUR per week. The Location This role will predominantly involve travel in and around the Cork and so ideally applicants will live within 45mins of Cork. However, flexibility to travel is essential. Training Training is provided. This employer regularly hires engineers from non-medical industries who have transferable electro-mechanical repair and software installation/upgrade skills. Therefore, a comprehensive, "tried and tested" training plan is in place to ensure you are well supported and appropriately upskilled.
