Unix Specialist - 12 Month Contract - Den Bosch (NL) - Immediate Hamilton Barnes are thrilled to present an exciting opening to become a Unix Specialist with one of the leading service providers in the Netherlands. We are seeking a proficient Unix Specialist with extensive knowledge of IBM storage systems to join our team on a 12-month contract basis, based in Den Bosch, Netherlands. This role requires expertise in Unix environments coupled with deep familiarity with IBM enterprise class storage Servers, particularly the DS8000 series, and Kennis San Fabrics (Brocade). Key Responsibilities: Manage Unix-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain storage solutions. Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and migrations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Unix and IBM storage systems. Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Requirements: Proficiency in Unix/Linux system administration. Extensive experience with IBM storage systems, particularly DS8000 series. Strong understanding of Kennis San Fabrics (Brocade) and storage networking. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently and efficiently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Dutch language proficiency is highly preferred. Right to work in the Netherlands.
