A market-leading Aerospace client of ours is currently in the market for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team based in Gloucester. You will be part of a diverse multi skilled process and assemble maintenance team, working on equipment used in surface finish, heat treatment, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), paint & OE Assembly. This role involves being responsible for the safe upkeep and reliability of production assets used in the manufacturing of aircraft parts. Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance. * Interoperation of engineering drawings to fault find & identify spare parts required. * Documenting & Prioritising work through a CMMS. * Operate within all HS&E standards and Policies. What they are looking for. Mandatory: * Time served engineering maintenance apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) * Must be able to read mechanical drawings including assembly and schematics. * Ability to work as part of a team and work independently. * Ability to demonstrate fault-finding skills/abilities. * Fabrication and fitting skills (Core bench-fitting skills necessary). * Experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System). * Be able to work safely and adhere to HS&E standards and policies. Preferred: * Suitable experience working with furnaces, NDT equipment or surface finish equipment * Electrical experience/qualification. * HNC in mechanical engineering. * Knowledge of lean, 5s & 6 sigma methodologies. Description The Black Hat Supervisor will support and supervise projects of Temporary Buildings or Structures erection on site (subcontracted projects). As a Black Hat (non-working supervisor), manage all Health & Safety aspects of Installation activities and on site Risk Assessments/Point of Work Risk Assessments review, Toolbox Talks and on site supervision ensuring that all company policies are adhered to. Main Responsibilities Provide technical advice and propose technical solutions where required Review and approve technical & safety documentation Be involved in technical and planning discussions with client (Principal Contractor) Ensure installation of works is as per design and process Deliver works on time and within parameters of the budget set for the task.
