Lead Electrical Engineer - Inside IR35 - €750 per day! We are recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a project in County Clare, Ireland, which is expected to run until the end of February 2026. Our client is in the process of transitioning a power station's primary fuel from coal to heavy fuel oil. The works require the construction of two new heavy fuel oil tanks, new auxiliary boilers, new ash injection system, upgrade of the existing HFO Systems, ancillary systems and modifications to the existing site infrastructure. As an Electrical Engineer you will be tasked to manage the key responsibilities which are listed below: - Perform role of lead electrical engineer and be responsible for the electrical engineering works on site for the successful delivery of the emergency generation projects. Manage Site teams (as required), and liaison with Station Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) teams. Liaise with Control & Instrumentation, Mechanical and Civil design teams to ensure delivery co-ordination on multi-disciplinary projects. Ensure that electrical systems are installed, tested, and operated safely and efficiently in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidelines. Co-ordinate electrical testing and commissioning activities on Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) systems and provide advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation. Support the management of projects from installation, commissioning, and handover. Support the team of electrical engineers delivering engineering design and support services for generating technologies. Support for the Safety Systems at site and apply a high level of safety standards in every aspect of the work. Skills and Experience Proven track record of significant experience in the power generation industry. A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience is required. Design, and Construction or Commissioning experience, is preferred. Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment utilised in power plant projects, preferably including LV and MV Proven ability to deliver on the key responsibilities outlined above. A proven track record in delivering complex engineering projects and ability to manage multiple projects. Experience of Project Management tools would be an advantage. Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment Standards, and Electrical Safety procedures An EU/British passport will be required for this role, as the role requires onsite working Monday to Friday.
